Ascot Vale Trugo Club

Trugo is an outdoor summer game unique to Melbourne invented in the Newport Rail Yards about 1925. The Ascot Vale Trugo Club Inc. was established in 2012.

The Ascot Vale Trugo Club Inc. was established in January 2012 with the twin aims of restoring the derelict trugo courts in Maribyrnong Park, Moonee Ponds and fielding a team in the competition administered by the Victorian Trugo Association("VTA").

As of 2014, both of those aims have been achieved and the club is now looking to consolidate its position in the local community. New members and visitors welcome.

The Committee have fixed the membership fee for the 2014/15 competition season at $30-.

The club currently practices on Tuesdays any time between 10.30am and 2.00 pm. Competition is on Thursdays 11.30am til 2.00pm.

The club has Open Days on Sundays as advertised on this page.
